Cauterizing Potion
Its main ingredient is Tylkalan (an opportunistic plant that blooms just before an eruption), which must be picked on the slopes before the lava covers it, hence its price. Poured onto a wound, the potion heats until it burns the flesh and seals it in moments, like a red-hot iron, killing whatever the wound had already caught. The pain is the same as with the iron. It is kept close at hand by anyone heading down among the Cindergnaw (scavenger kobolds of the volcanic lands), whose bite infects before anyone has time to find a priest.A Cauterizing Potion token or item card depicting a dark, wax-sealed glass bottle filled with a glowing orange liquid and containing a visible skull-shaped mass, tagged with a handwritten alchemical label. The item sits on a wooden surface beside aged books and a candlelit background, suggesting a medieval alchemist or tavern interior setting. This asset is suited for fantasy RPG inventory systems, loot tables, potion shops, or volcanic region encounters involving infected wounds or kobold enemies. Compatible with virtual tabletops such as Foundry VTT, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds for use in D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and similar systems.
