Tylkalan — token

"Whoever sees the Tylkalan grow has already seen their last dawn."The Tylkalan grows nowhere but in the cracks of a volcano, and never at just any time. It waits until the mountain is about to break, when sulfur saturates the air and the rock begins to sweat its heat. Then it rises within a few days, feeds on that heat and turns it into life, opens its wide cups above the lava and releases its spores into them. The eruption that wipes it out then carries them so high and so far that most are lost; the rare few that fall on another volcano wait there until that mountain rumbles in turn. This is what earned it the name last dawn fungus: its presence heralds the eruption with certainty, but never its hour, and whoever climbs up to gather it cannot know whether they have a day left or a single breath. For its flesh keeps the power to turn heat into vital force, and alchemists draw from it the cauterization potion, which closes wounds like a red-hot iron without the pain, and works wonders on burns, drawing out their very heat to heal them. The Cindergnaw kobolds and the Emberwardens of the Göldunn clan have fought over it for as long as anyone remembers, but no one holds a position on a mountain about to break: between them it is not a war, it is a race, run against each other and against the volcano at once.

The Tylkalan is a fictional fungus token or illustration depicting large, dark-capped mushrooms with yellow-rimmed gills growing from glowing lava cracks and volcanic rock, framed by carved stone borders with Celtic knotwork. This asset is suited for volcanic encounter scenes, including eruption events, rare ingredient harvesting quests, or faction conflict scenarios set in underground magma chambers or active volcano environments. Compatible with virtual tabletops such as Foundry VTT, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds, it fits dark fantasy, high fantasy, and dungeon-crawl RPG systems including D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and OSR games.
