Tharngal, the Keeper of Rest

What it is
A ring of rock-iron set with a garnet, within which complex runes were placed one by one. It first belonged to the keepers, those who walk the mines during ceremonies without disturbing the rest of the dead in the sealed veins. One step on a bewitched stone, one seal broken in ignorance, and it is a dead dwarf you wake.
What it does
It awakens with a prayer addressed to the stone. From then on, rock that magic has altered stands apart from the rest in the bearer's eyes: the language of a seal becomes readable to him, as does a warning someone else has carved there, or the trace of a magical trap. The ring disarms nothing and breaks no seal. It shows, and leaves the bearer the wisdom to step around.
Activation prayer
In Dwarvish: "Dürnamar, vek ul, ham skel dürn. Vahn mi nar dürn."
(DURN-ah-mar, VEK OOL, HAHM SKEL DURN. VAHN MEE NAR DURN.)
Human translation: "Mother-Rock, I come to you by the sound of matter. Reveal to me what is not of you."

Tharngal is a fantasy token or prop asset depicting a heavy metal ring set with a faceted amber gemstone emitting an inner flame, engraved with geometric dwarven runes along the band. The item rests on a dark, ash-covered stone surface with glowing embers in the background, suggesting a forge or underground smithing environment. This asset suits magic item reveal scenes, dwarven stronghold encounters, or investigation and lore-discovery events in fantasy tabletop RPGs such as D&D 5e, Pathfinder, or similar systems. Compatible with virtual tabletop platforms including Roll20, Foundry VTT, and Fantasy Grounds as a handout, inventory prop, or scene centerpiece.
