Logmar Thorim-Dor, the Warden Who Watches Himself

Logmar is a guard who takes the watches no one wants. He was born close enough to a great name to shelter beneath it, but he keeps it low. He is not hiding shame. He is testing his worth. Each watch is also a watch over himself. He knows anger strikes faster than honor, so he serves slowly.
Describe him
You do the humblest tasks with a care that unsettles whoever is watching. You never hurry. You speak low, always a little late, as if every word had to pass a guard post first. Your hands stay flat and still, even when someone provokes you. Yet something holds behind your clenched jaw. Around you, others stand straighter without knowing why.
Play him
Play him by making the room wait. Before he answers, count one breath too many. He never accuses on the first wound: he follows the chain, who pushed, who answered, who chose haste. When anger nears the surface, lower his voice instead of raising it.
What he says (rarely)
(under his breath, to the Crystal Daughter)
"The crystal grows for the one who can wait.
Anger breaks it in a single blow.
Crystal Daughter, hold my anger in my place.
Let it decide neither alone nor all at once.
Give me the patience you give to stone:
the dwarf who holds becomes a giant, and we rise with him."
