Osk Nagesh, called Two-Mugs

As a child, Osk was carried off by a stonescale in the tunnels of Khardum. He was found four days later, alive, where the beast usually leaves nothing but bones. No one knows how he survived. Of those four days, all that remains is a blank in his story, and a few voices whispering of a curse. Since then, Osk cannot bear to be alone. An old campaigner of the guard, he spends more time celebrating other people's feats than accomplishing his own, and he was never the bravest in his company. But no one has ever seen him caught off guard.

Describe him

You'll find him leaning on the bar, a mug in each hand, or asleep against a wall with a smile on his lips. He is never quite sober, and there is always one more hiding place on him, a little flask with a last drop of that liqueur he adores. In the quarters where he wanders, everyone stops to talk with him, and he has a word for each of them, a toast for the smallest victory.

Play him

Play him drunk, chatty, warm, always surrounded. But know what the table doesn't: he drinks to quiet his senses. He hears everything, feels everything, down to the vibrations of the ground beneath his boots, and drink is the only way he has found to dull that din. He can almost never be surprised. When danger draws near, he is the first to sense it and the first to warn, slurring his words: let the players decide whether they listen to a drunk. And keep, underneath, that his revelry is not joy. It is a shield.

What he says (rarely)

"To those who held the gate! I wasn't there, but I'm drinking for 'em."
"Alone? No. Never alone. Who's buying the next one?"
(voice thick, eyes fixed on the ground) "Y'hear that? It's comin' from below."
