"Commanding a golem is not something you improvise."A golem never disobeys. That is exactly what makes it dangerous. It does not think, it does not judge, and it does not guess what you meant: it does what you said, in full, and for as long as you have not stopped it.
You command it through the ring and through two words, one to wake it, one to put it back to sleep. Learn the second one first. You will give it one task at a time, and you will take the time to phrase that task before you open your mouth, because what stands before you is not a servant, it is a considerable force waiting on a sentence. A badly made sentence does not produce a mistake. It produces damage.
And when the task is done, shut it down. It will not stop on its own, it has no way of knowing that it is finished. I once saw a golem that had been told to clear the stones out of a field. There was not a crop left standing. It was still digging, going after the stones deeper down.
A clay golem token depicting a large, heavily built humanoid construct composed of cracked stone and clay, with glowing orange lava-like fissures running across its body and arcane circular sigils engraved on its chest and limbs. The figure stands in a low, forward-leaning posture amid rubble and broken stone fragments, suggesting active movement or combat readiness. This token is suited for encounters involving constructed creatures, arcane guardians, or dungeon hazards in fantasy RPG systems such as D&D 5e, Pathfinder, or OSR games. It is compatible with major virtual tabletop platforms including Roll20, Foundry VTT, and Fantasy Grounds.
