You spot her. At the back of the crypt, in dust undisturbed for a century, a figure in a wedding gown dances alone. Her steps are slow and steady, and now and then she hums a festive tune whose words have long been lost. She doesn’t see you, and as long as nothing breaks her dance, she keeps going.
When she wakes. A torch held too close, a hand on her shoulder, a sarcophagus forced open: the dance stops dead. She turns toward you, and the scream that tears from her throat shakes the walls of the crypt. How she fights. Her scream is a weapon: it splits stone, makes ears bleed, and can bury beneath the vault those who pulled her out of her trance. Between screams, she strikes with her fleshless hands, with the fury of a prisoner who once clawed at the lid of her own tomb.
How to fight her. The safest course is never to wake her: cross the crypt in time with her tune, without bright light, and she’ll let you pass. If the scream has already broken loose, get out before the vault gives way. Those who wish to bring her peace seek out her husband’s sarcophagus to carve her name on it, a name the custom never carved. The Tomb Widow is an undead female figure dressed in a tattered, floor-length red wedding gown with flowing sleeves and a dark veil, her skeletal face and decayed hands visible beneath the decayed fabric, set against a stone crypt background. This token or character asset represents a cursed undead boss or elite enemy for crypt, tomb, and mausoleum encounters, functioning as a banshee-type creature with sonic attack mechanics and stealth-bypass conditions.
