More massive than an ordinary wolf, the Brownhide Wolf owes its name to its thick brown coat and almost bear-like build. A solitary creature, it does not stalk its prey for long; instead, it waits by forest paths motionless in the shadow of the ferns before lunging in a short, brutal charge. Travelers often encounter it too late, finding it already blocking the way with its head lowered and paws planted firmly in the earth, ready to defend its territory.

The Brownhide Wolf is an oversized wolf token set on a forest dirt path, surrounded by ferns, mossy ground, and dense trees. The creature's heavy brown fur, broad shoulders, and lowered head convey an aggressive territorial stance, making it well-suited for ambush or wilderness encounter scenarios. This token is compatible with virtual tabletop platforms such as Roll20, Foundry VTT, and Fantasy Grounds, and fits seamlessly into forest travel encounters for fantasy RPG systems including D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and OSR games. It can serve as a reskinned dire wolf, a unique predator, or a boss-tier beast in low-to-mid level wilderness adventures.
