Chronicle of the Ivael WealdBefore Aethrinn left to seal the portals, the elves of the Ivael Weald cast this funerary urn in her likeness, to receive her ashes with the honors owed to one about to sacrifice herself. Once she had become a lich and been driven out by her own people, she carried it into exile and sealed her life essence inside, in place of the ashes it was meant to hold: it is the only gift her people ever gave her. As long as the urn exists, Xhaethrix rises again after every defeat, and whoever holds it holds the lich at their mercy, enough to bargain with her for her knowledge, her services, or their own life. But she feels every hand laid on the bronze, wherever it may be, and she comes, while the urn’s face opens its eyes as she draws near. Those who have kept the urn too long have ended up hearing her voice in their dreams, and only elven magic can break it, the magic of the very people she hates.

The Phylactery of Xhaethrix is a large ornate bronze funerary urn topped with a sculpted elven female face wearing a tall ceremonial crown, surrounded by red magical energy emanating from the vessel. The urn features dual handles, intricate filigree engravings, and draped chain details, all set against a dark smoky background within a stone-framed border. This asset functions as a prop token or scene illustration for lich-related encounters, cursed artifact discoveries, or negotiation scenes in fantasy RPG systems such as D&D 5e, Pathfinder, or similar games.
