What It Is
Thalassi, a battle mage, had turned an old lighthouse into her tower of magic, where she studied the sea and everything it holds. The tower has since vanished. Several of her artifacts still change hands, and some no doubt lie at the bottom of the sea. This trident was her weapon.What It Does
It calls forth water elementals (beings born of the Plane of Water, the world this element comes from) and, through them, takes control of ocean currents. As long as its bearer fights, a wall of water circles around them, turning aside blows and spells alike. Beneath the surface, the same barrier keeps the bearer’s body dry and gives them air for a time.What It Costs
The elementals are as old as the world and follow a hierarchy few mages understand. Summoning the wrong one, or giving an order to one in the presence of an elder, offends both at once. A bearer who ignores these ranks is dragged to the bottom by what they thought they commanded.The Trident of Thalassi is a magical weapon token depicting a three-pronged trident with silver-gold metalwork, a decorated central grip featuring a demonic or elemental face, and multiple glowing blue gemstones, displayed against a carved wooden surface. The item functions as a legendary artifact associated with water elemental summoning, ocean current manipulation, and defensive magic, suitable for aquatic, coastal, or dungeon encounters.
