Gathol Dim, the Traitors' Scourge

"Gathol never needed a headsman. Hunger did the work, and hunger took its time."
What it is
A three headed Dürn flail whose metal was never quarried from the mountain, but drawn from the bars of an old gaol, the one to which deserters and traitors were led. No one was put to death there. They were simply forgotten. Hundreds starved in those cells, and the iron kept every hour of it.
What it does
Forged in a magic that binds time to necromancy, Gathol Dim does not merely wound the flesh, it pours into it the suffering it carries. The blow tears out a cry that nothing prepares you for. And should your enemy survive, what he was given returns by night, for days on end, in visions of hunger and confinement.
What it costs
It asks no remorse of you, and has no need of any: what it comes looking for is already sleeping within you. For the first nights it does no more than gently stir those old pains you believed long put away; then it draws them up, week after week, until they no longer wait for sleep to appear

Gathol Dim is a three-headed flail token or item card asset featuring a dark iron handle connected by heavy chains to three spiked flail heads, each emitting glowing blue magical energy. The weapon rests on a stone surface framed by carved Nordic-style borders, suggesting a dungeon or fortress setting. This asset is suited for dark fantasy tabletop RPG encounters involving cursed or necromantic weapons, boss loot reveals, or inventory scenes in systems such as D&D 5e, Pathfinder, or OSR games. Compatible with virtual tabletop platforms including Foundry VTT, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds as a handout, item illustration, or loot token.
