Lanna Faelyn

Lanna Faelyn, loved by all and sure of no one.

Daughter of a tapestry maker and a baker from Thornwick, Lanna entered the temple at Valeford and became, at fourteen, its youngest ovate. People take to her at once, before she has done a thing to earn it, and the temple soon learned to seat that gift beside the powerful. One rumor of an affair, false, was enough to have her recalled. No one spoke up for her. She is going home to test the one love born before her gift, and to ask, for the first time, what she wants.

Describe her

A young woman who enters softly, and the room takes her in at once. She smiles before she speaks, listens with her head tilted, and keeps your name from the first time she hears it. Her hands move little, always within reach of someone: a brushed arm, a sleeve set straight. Her voice is clear, a little too composed for her age. Sometimes, mid-laugh, her eyes look for yours, as if to check something. Among simple folk, her shoulders finally drop.

Play her

Enter gently. Win the table over within the minute, before you've done anything to earn it. Smile first, speak second. Drop, as if in passing, one exact detail about an NPC met only once, their name, the color of their hat, what they ordered, and let the players realize she is no pretty empty head. What works at her beneath the warmth: every smile she gets back might only be her gift at work, and she will never know which.

What she says (rarely)

"I have always been loved. I never knew whether it was me."
"Stay a while. In my home, you need no reason to sit at the table."
(softly) "Don't be kind to me yet. Wait until you know me."
