You spot it. In an abandoned chapel, a figure in priestly robes officiates before an altar with no congregation. It recites the prayers in a gentle voice, with flawless gestures, and sometimes breaks off mid-word to laugh for a long time before picking up exactly where it left off.
When it sees you. It turns toward you, opens its arms, and blesses you. A great peace washes over you, your grip loosens on the hilt of your weapon, and you can no longer remember why you were angry. How it fights. Its powers come from its god, who never abandoned it: it heals, shields, and strikes like any priest of its faith. But near it, the living feel their anger drain away, drawn into the emptiness it carries: soldiers lower their weapons, the bravest lose the will to fight, and those it has hollowed out remain listless for days.
How to fight it. Strike from a distance, and fast, before the peace takes the whole group. Weapons blessed by its own faith barely touch it, since its god still protects it. The only way to grant it rest is to give its anger back: prove its condemnation was unjust, reopen the wound, and let it finally die whole. The Priest Shadow is an undead cleric token depicting a hooded, hollow-eyed figure clad in worn red plate armor, wielding a spiked flail and a battered shield, surrounded by dissipating smoke or ethereal mist in a ruined stone environment. This character functions as a boss or elite enemy token for haunted chapel, cursed ruins, or graveyard encounters, representing a condemned priest whose anger was taken by a demon, leaving a wandering shade that strips combatants of their will to fight. Compatible with fantasy and dark horror RPG systems such as D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and Call of Cthulhu, the token suits virtual tabletop platforms including Roll20, Foundry VTT, and Fantasy Grounds. Its design supports encounters centered on debuff mechanics, morale drain, and faith-based vulnerability systems.
