The memory of bones. The second degree of the art is to instill a skill in it, and here necromancy turns curious. They say bones remember. A single small bone from an archer, slipped into any assembly at all, and the skeleton will know how to shoot. The gesture outlives the man. Nothing of the archer remains, no name, no face, not the faintest thought, but his hands still know.
Warrior skeleton. It fights according to the quality of its bones and the skill of its master, and the same goes for armor: some know only how to swing, others can hold a guard. Be wary of plate and shield, for it is sometimes a bluff, a heap of bones harnessed to impress. But if it wields its weapon with precision, knows how to cover behind a shield, and moves with a soldier's gait, make no mistake: you stand before an adversary far more dangerous than you believe. The bone remembers the wars it fought.
A group of skeletal undead warriors stands in a frozen, snow-covered landscape, with ruins visible in the background and bones scattered across the icy ground. The central figure is a tall skeleton clad in tattered dark armor, flanked by two additional undead carrying weapons including an axe. This token or character asset is suited for combat encounters in arctic or cursed tundra settings, functioning as enemy undead units in necromancy-themed campaigns. Compatible with major virtual tabletop platforms such as Foundry VTT, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds, it fits tabletop RPG systems including D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and OSR games.
