The memory of bones. The second degree of the art is to instill a skill in it, and here necromancy turns curious. They say bones remember. A single small bone from an archer, slipped into any assembly at all, and the skeleton will know how to shoot. The gesture outlives the man. Nothing of the archer remains, no name, no face, not the faintest thought, but his hands still know.
Archer skeleton. A skeletal archer gives itself away less by what it carries than by how it spends its arrows. The poor ones loose fast and blind, feeding shaft after shaft into the dark because nothing in them fears running dry; listen for the broken rhythm, the misses that clatter off stone. Judge a dangerous one by its patience instead: it holds the draw far longer than any living arm could bear, aims for the throat and the gaps in a visor rather than the broad of the chest, and shifts its footing between shots to keep open ground at its back. Cover buys you little, for it does not tire and will simply wait out the man who does. The string keeps the hands that first drew it.
An undead skeleton archer token or character asset depicted standing in a dungeon archway environment, equipped with a bone bow and a lit torch, surrounded by cobwebs, chains, hanging bones, and scattered debris on a flooded stone floor. The figure displays exposed skeletal structure with tattered remnants of clothing, suitable for use as a hostile NPC or encounter enemy in undead-themed tabletop RPG sessions. This asset is compatible with virtual tabletop platforms such as Foundry VTT, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds for use in D&D 5e, Pathfinder, or similar fantasy RPG systems. Ideal for dungeon crawl encounters, necromancer lairs, crypt defenses, or undead army encounters requiring a ranged skeleton combatant.
