What it is
Durgrond stays cold at rest, almost unremarkable among ceremonial helms, until its wearer's anger stirs. Then the flame catches, and the fiercer the rage, the more embers escape its crest. The most iconic piece of the Deepvein Set, it has come down through the ages alone, while the rest of the regalia was lost. Legend claims it also hunts dragons, but nothing confirms it.What it does
The helm radiates a globe of heat that shields its wearer from flame, both its own and any turned against him. Among the Cindergnaw, its silhouette alone can empty a tunnel: their stories tell of whole generations wiped out beneath this helm, in times no dwarven record attests.What it costs
The fiercer the anger, the farther the embers give away the wearer's position: once the rage is awake, there is no approaching unseen. Worn alone, the helm goes dark once calm returns.
