Menathra Ulith
, called the Scarlet Death
In her youth, the streets called her the Scarlet Death, and no one laughed: Menathra fought without mercy, and what was left of her opponents earned her the name. Then Babe took his first steps in the quarter, and she hung up her fists to help him. Today, alongside her twin, she waits tables at his Fighting Circle, surrounded by the same blows she once dealt. Of the scarlet, all she has left is an apron. And a weakness, which the whole Circle knows about, for handsome young men.
Describe her
A cube. That's what comes to mind as she moves between the tables, as wide as she is tall, and her tray never trembles. Her face has taken too many hits to say much: when she smiles, you can't really tell whether she's smiling. The regulars step aside as she passes without even thinking, the way you walk around a wall.
Play her
Use few words, in a dry, almost blunt tone. But stay polite, always, and generous with compliments: she hands them out freely, clumsily, the way you'd toss a mug to someone you like. It's simply clear that she wasn't raised like the other ladies. If a handsome young man sits at her table, let her serve him first, twice, and forget to make him pay. And keep, underneath, that the Scarlet Death isn't dead: she serves the mugs, and she watches who's looking for a fight.
What she says (rarely)
"Sit. Beer? Right answer."
"Nice beard. Nice brawl, too. When are you coming back?"
(setting a mug in front of the handsomest young man in the room) "On me. Drink up, pretty one."
Menathra Ulith is a female half-ogre or ogre-kin NPC token depicted as a heavyset tavern worker with long blonde braids, pointed ears, a prominent jaw, and a brown vest over a linen shirt with an orange apron, standing in front of a stone-carved doorway. This character token is suited for urban or underground tavern encounters, serving as a bartender, bouncer, or morally complex neutral NPC with a hidden combat background. Compatible with virtual tabletop platforms such as Foundry VTT, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds, it fits fantasy RPG systems including D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and OSR games. The token works well in city district campaigns, fighting pit scenarios, or social intrigue encounters where a physically imposing non-combatant NPC is needed.
