Terms and Conditions of Sale
1. Purpose
These terms and conditions of sale govern the contractual relationship between Seated Journey (seatedjourney.com) and any individual or legal entity wishing to access the services offered by Seated Journey.
2. Services offered
Seated Journey provides a library of graphic and visual resources for tabletop and digital role-playing games: battlemaps, tokens, characters, scenes, and other artistic content. Some of these resources are freely accessible; others are reserved for Companion subscribers.
3. Companion Access
Companion access is offered in two forms at the Client's choice:
- Monthly subscription: auto-renewing plan, cancellable at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, with no pro-rata refund.
- Fixed-term plan: Companion access for a set duration (1, 3, or 12 months), paid in full upfront, with no automatic renewal. When the plan expires, Companion access ends automatically.
The Client freely chooses their plan at the time of purchase and may renew or switch plans at any time.
4. Pricing
Applicable prices are those displayed on the site at the time of purchase, expressed in euros inclusive of all taxes. Seated Journey, operating under the micro-enterprise regime, applies the VAT exemption in accordance with Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.
5. Payment
Payment is made online by credit card via the secure Stripe platform.
- Subscription: automatic monthly charge; the Client authorises automatic renewal at the time of purchase.
- Fixed-term plan: single payment at the time of purchase for the full chosen period.
No banking data is stored on Seated Journey's servers. The prices applicable are those displayed on the site at the time of payment.
6. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the Client has a right of withdrawal of fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of subscription.
However, in accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content whose execution has begun with the Client's prior agreement and for which the Client has expressly waived their right of withdrawal at the time of order confirmation.
To exercise this right, the Client must notify Seated Journey of their decision in writing within the allotted time. In the event of a valid withdrawal, a refund will be issued within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the request.
7. Intellectual property
All content available on Seated Journey (illustrations, battlemaps, tokens, texts, logos) is the exclusive property of their authors and is protected by copyright. Any reproduction, distribution, or commercial exploitation without prior authorisation is strictly prohibited.
Downloaded resources are licensed to the Client on a personal, non-exclusive basis, solely for use in private or non-commercial role-playing game sessions.
8. Liability
Seated Journey undertakes to ensure service availability to the best of its ability, but cannot be held liable for any interruption due to maintenance, technical failure, or force majeure. Seated Journey cannot be held responsible for any use of the resources contrary to these terms.
9. Personal data
Personal data collected (email address, login information) is necessary for account and subscription management. It is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Client has the right to access, rectify, and delete their data by contacting Seated Journey.
10. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought before any legal action. Failing that, the competent court will be that of the registered office of Seated Journey.
11. Acceptance of Terms
The Client declares having read and accepted these terms and conditions of sale prior to confirming their order or subscription.
