Norah Draven, the Blood That Remembers

In the eyes of the world, he is the younger son of the Draven: a silent warrior, loyal to his sister, inseparable from Saekh, the saurian she brought back for him from the South. In truth, he is the last of the Corven, a bloodline Ellisara wiped out fifty years ago to take him. Turned on a battlefield where he lay bleeding out, he had his memory erased, then rewritten: he believes he was born a Draven. But Saekh does not lie, and Saekh does not trust Ellisara. Recently, Norah lost an entire day, and his beast came home covered in the blood of the last Corven. He is beginning to wonder why.

Describe him

He speaks little, and often answers a beat late, as if listening to someone else before you. On his shoulder, the saurian never truly sleeps: when Norah tenses, the beast tenses with him, and sometimes a moment before. He always stays within reach of his sister, watchful, protective. Yet when she comes near, the creature growls low, and Norah lays a hand on it without looking, the way one silences a thought.

Play him

Play the loyal brother: few words, a strong presence, always one step behind Ellisara. Let Saekh speak for him: a growl, a lashing tail, a fixed stare at one of the players. Let Norah hesitate, now and then, between what he thinks and what the beast feels, then catch himself. If a player speaks the name Corven, have him freeze without knowing why, while Saekh lifts his head. If anyone asks about his lost day, have him shut down at once, then come back later, alone, to ask a question. Don't forget that he is the only Draven searching for the truth, and the only one it could destroy.

What he says (rarely)

"My sister is right." (a pause) "Saekh doesn't agree."
"I lost a day. You don't lose a day."
(stroking the beast without looking at it, very low) "Easy. Not now. Not yet."
